The two most common are attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Why is Tourette Syndrome Important To Me: I am an African American Man who has Tourette Syndrome and has had it for approximately 19+ years. I currently live in Knoxville, Tennessee in the project (public housing), but I am originally from Connecticut. I am trying to increase people's awareness in the African American Community, as well as other minority, and non-minorities who do not know about Tourette Syndrome.
